Expertise was hard to see.
Our starting point was the gap between a manufacturer’s technical potential and a catalogue-led presentation. The opportunity was to make its value as an engineering partner clearer.
Making engineering
expertise visible.
Carbon fiber is engineered for possibility. Yet manufacturing websites often present it as a list of interchangeable parts. The engineering expertise behind the material can disappear into the catalogue.
Carbonix is our reimagining of a composite manufacturer as an engineering partner. We brought positioning, identity, a working website and a complete set of physical applications into one connected brand experience.

The website opens with a moving particle field: a visual expression of structure, lightness and transformation. A restrained palette and precise typography give the product room to lead.
From there, the experience moves from discovery to detail. Product exploration, application stories and distinct OEM and ODM pathways help a prospective partner understand what can be made—and how a conversation starts.

Interaction has a job to do. Close-up product views reveal texture; clear product families support comparison; a focused inquiry flow gives technical interest a next step.
The films capture the working prototype with a visible cursor, natural pauses and real interactions.

The segmented mark, generous space and quiet typography establish a recognizable signature. Black, silver and mineral white draw on the material itself. A measured orange accent brings focus to an edge, a tab or a point of contact.
We extended that language into stationery, sample systems, invitations and event materials. Each application gives the identity a different function while keeping the same character.

For an imagined UMEX presence in Abu Dhabi, we translated the website’s particle language into an architectural digital wall. The moving field becomes the backdrop to the real point of the space: materials, samples and conversation.
Brushed metal, dark surfaces and concealed lighting frame an open pavilion. The same visual system adapts to a material gallery, a meeting lounge and a product launch setting.
Proposed exhibition environments, visualized for the case study. These are concepts, not photographs of a built stand or an actual UMEX participation.

Our starting point was the gap between a manufacturer’s technical potential and a catalogue-led presentation. The opportunity was to make its value as an engineering partner clearer.
We developed Carbonix as a connected identity, website and material experience. Particle imagery, considered interactions and tactile applications express the same engineering idea in different ways.
We worked across strategy, design, code, motion and AI-assisted visualization. The website and physical concepts developed alongside one another, letting us test the idea across a complete customer journey.
The result is a designed system, demonstrated through a working prototype and a series of brand applications. Commercial performance has not been measured.
